The house is sited to best enjoy the pattern of the sun through all seasons as well as refreshing summer breezes. The goal of the interior design was to inject clean modernity with warmth so that it feels inviting to friends and family when gathering. Custom details such as the blackened steel doors which hide the TV at the fireplace and the retractable screens at the covered porch offer flexibility.
 

The collectors garage and potting room discreetly offer spaces for both husband and wife to pursue their hobbies while the proximity of both guest bedrooms to the gathering space allows for comfortable visits with their two grown children.
